(1) The term of office of nominated members in the Council shall be four years. Members whose term of office has expired may be re-nominated subject to other provisions contained in this Act.
(2) If the position of a member becomes vacant before the end of the term of office, the vacant position shall be filled for the remaining period by the procedure as per sub-section (1) of section 5.
